Shopping Mall System Commissioning — Manhattan
Commissioning is the step that determines whether a system actually performs the way it was designed. For this Manhattan retail center we worked through the installed systems end to end: ductwork and diffusers, control boards and thermostats, electrical connections, and the rooftop equipment serving the building.
The work included verifying refrigerant charge and airflow, checking control sequences and safeties, correcting deficiencies found during checkout, and documenting the readings so the owner has a baseline to measure against in future seasons.
A system that was never commissioned will usually still run. It will also quietly waste energy, short-cycle equipment, and fail early — which is why we treat commissioning as part of the installation rather than an optional extra.
