School Building HVAC Installation — Jamaica, Queens
An institutional installation serving classrooms and corridors, built around a bank of VRF condensing units set on the roof and manifolded together.
Schools are demanding buildings to condition. Occupancy swings from empty to packed within minutes, ventilation requirements are set by code rather than by comfort, and the work has to be staged around an academic calendar that does not move.
VRF suits this profile well: the system moves capacity to the zones that need it instead of running everything at once, which matters in a building where half the rooms are empty at any given hour.
