Infrared Tube Heater Installation — Brooklyn Supermarket
Large-volume retail spaces with high ceilings and doors that open constantly are difficult to heat with forced air — the warm air collects at the ceiling and leaves the floor cold.
For this Brooklyn supermarket we installed a natural gas infrared tube heater rated at 150,000 BTU/h across a 40-foot run. Infrared heats surfaces and people directly rather than heating the air, so the effect is felt at floor level where the staff and customers are.
The installation included the gas piping, venting, suspension and controls, along with the sheet metal and duct work associated with the surrounding system.
